We use to see more arcade racing games on consoles. From Burnout to Twisted Metal, arcade racing was faster and more furious than regular "realistic" racers. This type of racing, though, doesn't appear very often anymore.
Road Redemption, in development for Wii U by Dark Seas Games, is similar to Twisted Metal but with a dash of Burnout in there. The game is super fast. You race with bikes and there's going to be everything from desert tracks to roof top races. Its not just about racing though. The player can hit other players with melee weapons or shoot at them. There are other (nonplayable) cars on the road too, so players have to look out for them as they are driving around. They wouldn't want to crash into them! The game has online multiplayer and that should be a blast!
I also love that you'll be able to play as SHOVEL KNIGHT. So awesome!
