This Platformer is Not Cold At All

The Wii U has a lot of 2D platformers but it doesn't have very many 3D platformers.

Freeze Me, from developer Rainy Night Creations, looks to fix this problem.

Freeze Me is a 3D platformer with a unique twist. The main character has a camera and can take pictures of enemies and objects and that freezes the objects/enemies for a short period time.

Take a look at this trailer:

The main character uses her camera to freeze a log in the trailer. The camera could come in handy for getting to higher places and beating tricky enemies. I also really like the part where the main character flies. Very cool!

The game clearly takes inspiration from Super Mario Galaxy. But I think some of the levels also has a clear Mario 64 element too. It could be the best of both worlds.

I also love how colorful this game looks! We see a lot of platformers that seem a bit darker these days but Freeze Me is very bright and cheerful. It will fit in quite well with Nintendo games on the Wii U.

Speaking of which, Freeze Me will be coming to Kickstarter soon and it has been announced that they'll be aiming for a Wii U goal.

A very Meta-video for sure. Love it!

I'll be sure to post a link on my blog here when the game is up on Kickstarter. Please support it if you can. Freeze Me looks like a lot of fun!

I heard about the game & got the videos from this article from Nintendo Everything: http://nintendoeverything.com/3d-platformer-freezeme-in-the-works-for-wii-u/

On Monday, I should have First Impressions of Code Name Steam! The game comes out today and it looks like I'll be getting it in the mail today. Can't wait to play it.
